Lianne with a donkey

I've been designing for a few years now. I started out making posters, cards, and bits of graphic design for my college events, and slowly found my way into UI/UX. To me, design is about solving a real problem and making things better for the people on the other side of the screen.

I worked as a designer for a couple of years before starting my Master's, designing interfaces across retail, healthcare, and banking, among others. My core interest lies in research and building sustainable, thoughtful solutions.

Outside of design, I'm usually in the water or on a field somewhere — swimming, slacklining, or chasing a frisbee. I'm a big animal person and I have a dog waiting for me back home. Hit me up for a hike, a game of chess or poker, a swim, or just a good chat about anything under the sun.

Misc things I do when I am away from desk

wandering off again
screaming at a BVB match
losing at Catan (again)
volunteering at Formula E
surviving a hackathon
holding Pisa up, obviously
volunteering at FISU
wobbling on a slackline
jumping in the well because why not
